Every measurement is saved, so you see whether you rise or drop.
The rank tracker is available to agency users under SEO, Keywords, Rank tracker.
1. Add keywords
- Type a keyword, choose the Market and click Add.
- Add up to 50 keywords per business.
You can also send keywords here from Keyword research with → Rank tracker.
2. Measure positions
- Click Measure positions.
- The table shows the position per keyword for the most recent measurements. > 100 means you are not in the top 100.
A measurement costs 1 credit per 10 keywords, per measurement variant.
3. What the table shows
- SERP: which special results Google shows for the keyword, such as an AI overview, People also ask, Maps or Shopping. Hover to see whether your own site is in it.
- Ranking page: which of your pages ranks.
- History: click it to see the top 3 and your position over time (1 credit).
- Desktop, mobile and locations
The standard measurement is desktop, for the whole country. Under Measurement variants you can add up to three variants:
- Mobile, for the whole country or a town.
- A town, for local results. Search the town with Find town.
Choose the variant above the table to view its positions. Each variant costs 1 credit per 10 keywords per measurement.
4. Who ranks for your keywords
Who ranks for your keywords lists the domains that appear most in the top 10 for your keywords, with their visibility, number of top 3 and top 10 positions and their average position. Your own site and your competitors are marked.
5. Weekly SEO check
Agency users can switch on the Weekly SEO check under Manage, Extra options. Once a week, at night, Metrara measures your rank tracker positions and referring domains, and emails you when:
- a keyword drops five places or more, or out of the top 10;
- you clearly lose referring domains.
The check is off by default and costs 1 credit plus 1 credit per 10 keywords per round.
